ST's MCU line is replaced by GigaDevice GD32 — an MCU for an MCU, family for family. The gate is the same one we apply everywhere: same package, same pin count. A GD32F103C8T6 (LQFP48) is the candidate for an STM32F103C8T6 (LQFP48); what we will not do is offer a different density in a different package and call it a replacement. GigaDevice publishes its own official MCU cross-reference search, and we check against it rather than keeping a copy.
| What you are replacing | What we offer |
|---|---|
| STM32F103 (mainstream, Cortex-M3) | GD32F103 — same package and pin count |
| STM32F303 (mixed-signal, Cortex-M4) | GD32F303 — same package and pin count |
| STM32F0 / STM32G0 (entry level) | GD32E230 — verify pinout before design-in |
| STM32L0 / L1 / L4 (low power) | GD32L233 — quoted, not stocked |
| STM32F4 / F7 (high performance) | GD32F4xx — quoted, not stocked |
| ST discrete power, TVS, ESD | Outside this page — ask; AMSEMI covers the protection series |
These series names are industry-standard — onsemi, Littelfuse, Vishay, NXP and AMSEMI all build SMAJ in SMA and SMBJ in SMB. Same name means same pad. Peak power and stand-off range are AMSEMI figures from AMSEMI datasheets.

Pin-compatible in the same package and pin count for the mainstream families, but it is not a software drop-in: the flash wait states, the clock tree and some peripheral registers differ. Plan for a recompile and a peripheral bring-up pass, not a binary swap.
GD32F103C8T6 — same LQFP48 package, same pin count, 64 KB flash class. We hold it in stock. Confirm the pin map against the GigaDevice datasheet for your exact suffix before layout.
Stocked: GD32E230K6T6 (LQFP32), GD32E230C8T6 (LQFP48), GD32F103C8T6 and GD32F103CBT6 (LQFP48), GD32F303VET6 (LQFP100), GD32F130F6P6 (TSSOP20). Other densities and packages are quoted, typically 8–10 weeks.
Yes — send the full STM32 order code and we return the GD32 candidate with the package, pin count and the differences that matter. Where there is no clean counterpart we say so.
GigaDevice publishes its own MCU cross-reference search on its site. We check against that and against the datasheets rather than maintaining a copy that goes stale.
Ask. We are an authorized distributor for GigaDevice, CR Micro, Magnachip, Hopewell and AMSEMI. For brands outside that list we quote what we can source and tell you the provenance.
Upload your BOM or type the number — we reply within one business day with the equivalent, the price, the package and the lead time. If we cannot supply it, or the package does not match, we say so.
