Export compliance
Our parts are ordinary commercial semiconductors. Here is how they are classified, what documentation comes with them, and which destinations we will not ship to.
How the products are classified
| HS code | Covers |
|---|---|
| 8541.10 | Diodes, other than photosensitive — rectifier, Schottky, zener, TVS and ESD suppressors |
| 8541.21 / 8541.29 | Transistors with a dissipation rate below 1 W / 1 W and above — BJTs, MOSFETs, IGBTs |
| 8541.30 | Thyristors, diacs and triacs |
| 8542 | Electronic integrated circuits — isolators, MCUs, gate drivers, motor drivers |
Classification is per line item and confirmed on the commercial invoice. If your broker needs a specific national tariff subdivision, send us the code you use and we will declare against it.
Documentation we provide
| Document | Availability | Typical use |
|---|---|---|
| RoHS declaration | On request, per order or per part family | EU market access; your incoming-goods file |
| REACH / SVHC statement | On request | EU customer compliance file |
| Certificate of origin (CO) | On request, issued by the CCPIT | Origin checks, preferential treatment where applicable |
| Material / substance data | On request, where the manufacturer supplies it | IMDS entry, substance declarations |
| End-user statement | We can sign one; we may also ask you to sign one | Destination screening |
| AEC-Q101 qualification | -H suffix parts, built to order | Automotive programs — see the note below |
Destinations we do not ship to
We screen every order against the consolidated lists published by the UN Security Council, China's Ministry of Commerce, the European Union and the US Treasury (OFAC). We do not ship to comprehensively sanctioned countries or territories, and we do not ship to any party appearing on those lists.
Where a destination or an end use requires an end-user or end-use statement, we will ask for one before the order is accepted. That is a normal step, not a signal that something is wrong with your order.
What we need from you
- The legal entity placing the order, and the delivery address if it differs.
- The end use in one line — BMS, inverter, power supply, motor drive, and so on. Civil and industrial use needs nothing further.
- Your HS code if your broker has one, so the invoice and the declaration agree.
Automotive grade — read this before specifying -H
Anti-counterfeit and traceability
Every line we ship is traceable to an authorized channel: AMSEMI as our authorized distributor, CR Micro, Magnachip and HOPERF as authorized resellers, and GigaDevice as an authorized IDH. We do not source from the open market, and we will not quote a part we cannot trace. If a part number on your BOM is not one we can supply through those channels, we say so instead of offering the next nearest thing.
Questions we get on every compliance review
Can you confirm the parts are not dual-use items?
Within our product scope, yes — discrete semiconductors and the isolation and MCU parts we carry are commercial goods under HS 8541/8542, not items on the dual-use control lists. The statement is made against the products we supply, and it is confirmed on the commercial invoice for the specific line items.
Do you provide a conflict-minerals declaration?
On request. Our parts do not intentionally contain 3TG minerals, but the declaration has to come from the manufacturer for the specific part, so allow a few days rather than assume it ships with the quotation.
Is the Chinese export declaration available to our customs broker?
Yes, on request under FOB and DDP. Under EXW the export declaration is arranged by you or your forwarder, not by us.
